Is It Rude Of Me To Ask For Discounts Like This?
I bought a book from Amazon for £8.36 and when I checked inside it says 230 rupees which is about £3.00 . Would it be rude of me to ask for a discount?
I have asked for discounts before saying they were cheaper elsewhere but that’s because they were expensiver items.

If Amazon offers a book for sale at £8, and you buy it at that price, then you have a contract.
You do know that booksellers sell books for more than they paid for them, don’t you? If you are happy with the deal, what they paid for it is none of your business.
Of course, next time you want to buy a book, you are welcome to ask for a discount, or look elsewhere to buy it. That is how the market works.

Yes as you agreed the selling price and bought it as such.
You’re not going to lose anything by trying but don’t be surprised if they say no.
