My Son Is In The Navy In Chicago, Do The Airlines Give Discounts Or Special Provisions To The Military?
He ends his A school in November. I want to buy a plane ticket, but the Navy will not tell him if he can leave withing a couple of his leave.
If I buy the ticket now, I can get it for $200-$250. If I wait and get it with only a couple day advance notice, I will pay $500-$600.

Most airlines offer a Military Fare. Other than the price, the restrictions are the main thing you have to know about the ticket. A fully-refundable ticket will usually have no penalty for changing the date. That’s what you want, a ticket that allows changes. I would book it over the phone so that you can ask for the military fare and get verbal confirmation of the restrictions.

lol you would think that you get special discounts or something but from what i hear you dont.. lol the only special thing that we have had happen is that i was allowed to go in the terminal with my husband whenever he was leaving.. but we have never gotten special discount prices for tickets if that is what you are asking, neither have any of our friends. sorry.
