I will be traveling in April. I also heard that plane flights are cheap when gas is cheap and expensive when gas is expensive?

Look at all travel sites online (travelocity, expedia, orbitz, etc). Flight costs can really fluctuate throughout the year. Holidays of course will be expensive wherever you go. Nowadays, you should expect the prices to be about $950- 1300/rt.
don’t worry about the gas thing… but regarding the traveling, april is a good time, but you need to book it soon… i would recommend searching as many websites as you can. bookme.com is a good option to search all the major travel sites.
Airfare has definitely been affected by fuel prices and the economy but I’m not sure that ticket prices get cheaper as the price of barrels of oil dip. April 2009 looks like it should be a price saving time to fly since Easter falls on March 23 next year. Just try to stay away from the Spring Break week and popular destinations. Guam is a pretty long way even from the west coast. I travel to Guam often and find that Travelocity and Expedia have the lowest prices. You could also check Continental.com, the main airline on Guam, if they have any specials – although they are usually for those flying out of Guam into the mainland. Good luck!
