I Need Someone To Recommend And Online School For Medical Billing And Coding That Offers Student Loans?
i really need help. I have excepted a job coding and billing for the company i work for, they do on the job training. i have decided i want to be certified. i need help finding a school, the right school. i need one that i can apply for student loans (have 2 kids so i’m broke) there are so many i don’t know where to start and i don’t want to get duped!!!

Before you spend money on school, check into a local chapter of AHIMA http://www.ahima.org/certification/index… or the local chapter in your city and see if they offer any kind of study “boot camp” that will prep you for the test. There are also some certified coders who offer boot camp training through libraries or medical facilities. I went to a billing and coding school, spent close to $7k and passed the test. However, I work with a lady who started out in our office as temp (filing clerk) who spent around $500 on books and coding boot camp and she also passed the test. Check out all of your options before taking out any student loans. Phoenix University helps you fill out the request for government student loans and also accepts credit cards … but it’s a bit pricey, i think.
